New Things In

After searching high and low for a chore jacket i finally tracked down one. I've searched ebay for around a year looking for the one i pictured in my head and also one that came in my size. Finally after seeing Dr Jekyll and Hyde Clothing advertsing they had some on there instagram i knew i had to go down and have a look. I like buying things off ebay but there's nothing better then been able to try something on and see how it looks and feels before you buy it. So Saturday morning i managed to get one, after trying it on i felt it was right and was pleased to part with the money to buy it and after a year or so of looking i had the chore jacket i've been looking for.

Here's a picture of it, and your very own modelling it.

Another thing that came in this week was a pair of Levi Vintage Clothing Jeans. After wearing Edwins and a pair of Albam for the past few years i finally made the change and went for a pair of these. I went for the 1967 505 jeans and i've got to say they are the best fitting jeans i have ever owned, they fit perfectly and for the decent price i got them for you can't fall off. Also they are been worn in the picture above paired with some Clarks desert legend.

New Jacket

After many years Middlesbrough has finally got round to getting a vintage shop that i actually want to buy things from. I have spent ages of my life searching for vintage REI parkas and managed to get one from America a few years back. Now i can go and buy one on my doorstep. So i finally got round to going to have a look in Dr Jekyll and Hyde clothing. They stocked many mountain parka's from REI to Woolrich, to be honest i wanted a few of them but i finally went for a vintage REI parka. For £60 i couldn't go wrong and even got a £5 off my next spent in there which you can't argue with. The service in there was spot on too. The shop also had harrington's in and plenty of shirts in there which caught my eye also they upload plenty of pictures of there latest products in store on there instagram and twitter, he latest thing that i caught up with on there instragram was a vintage french chore jacket. I've been looking for one of these on ebay for a year now and never managed to get one in my size. So another visit to Dr Jekyll and Hyde Clothing is instore for me.

Anyway's the last time i went i bought a vintage REI mountain parka. Perfect for upcoming months because it isn't fleeced inside, so perfect for the spring months. Here's are a few pictures of it with a new casualco pin intact.

A couple of new things from the past month

I've had a few things coming through the post the last few weeks. Many of them sales items that i just couldn't resist. First up is a Anderson Belt that i bought from Not Addicted. After years of wearing a belt from Asda, i thought i would splash out and go for a Anderson Belt. I've wanted one for a while, but i've just never pulled the trigger on one. For £28 delivered it was a bargain.

Next up is a pair of Clarks Desert Legend. First seen these a few months back and wanted them but the price tag around £95 did put me off, then i seen them in the sale for £65 was extremely tempted. Then when i seen them at £35 i couldn't resist at all and went for them. With the recent weather only been able to wear them the once, but as always Clarks come up trumps with these. With new shoes, i had to add a couple of pairs of socks and went for some Burlingtons.

Last thing up is a Highland 2000 hat, i fancied since missing out on the CasualCo McMurphy. And again this was a another sale bargain i managed to bag from superdenim for only £25.

Padmore and Barnes

Padmore & Barnes are often mistaken for a pair of Clarks. When i've worn them, i've been asked are they Clarks? For many years, starting around 1967, Wallabees were made in Ireland at the Padmore & Barnes factory. They were made for Clarks, Supreme, Killah Shoe Co, and many other brands. The factory was then shut down in 2003. Now Padmore & Barnes have now returned to making them in Ireland, and even now have a website to go with it. To get a pair of Padmore & Barnes before they returned is like rocking horse shit! I've worn them many times since i bought them and have to say there one of the most comfortable shoe i have worn. I went for the willow lite in a chestnut colour, when the box arrived i couldn't believe how lovely they are. I am normally a Clarks man with wearing them for alot of years and having many pairs but i've got to say the Padmore & Barnes looks better then many Clarks i have had and many i have seen. They were well worth the £80 or so they were. There is also many other pairs there selling that i do fancy buying, but there's only so many shoes a person can have right?

Here's a few pictures of them, after been worn for a month or two.

Few new things.

Not had much time to post anything in the past few weeks with been busy at work. Not had much time either to buy much so just thought i'll put up the few things i've bought in the past few weeks.

First up is YMC Nam Shirt, which once i seen i couldn't resist the colour of it to be honest, and at half price from YMC i couldn't say no when i seen it.

Next up is Universal Works College Shirt, i had my eye on this for quite a while but i thought at £110 it wasn't worth the RRP but when i saw it knocking around for £30 again i couldn't resist paying that for it, it's a really nice shirt and worth the £30.

Last piece of clothing up is just a Norse Projects Tee, was in need of just a plain t shirt and when i saw these in the sale i couldn't say no for around £25. It's a nice t shirt just to wear, it's perfect just to put one under a overshirt.

Last new thing that i've got is that i got a new bike, maybe jumping on the bandwagon but i've wanted a bike for a few months now just to get out and do some miles, so finally got round to getting one last week. Already been out on it a few times and i've got to say i love it at the moment. It's a Cube Attention 2013.

A week away

A few weeks back i went to Salou for ten days, during my stay there with my family and girlfriend we went on a day trip to Barcelona. Was a really enjoyable visit to a city where i had never been before. It was tough walking round the shops in 30 plus degree heat. I was surprised by how little men's clothing shops that were around the city, just had your usual big city shops such as Gucci, Chanel Burberry and Dior. To me these are not my kind of shops, whereas my girlfriend loves these types of shops with her trying to convince that she needed a Burberry mac in the 35 degree heat outside. We also visited the Cathedral in Barcelona which we just stumbled upon luckily rather then actually looking for it, this was a nice sight to see and one of them things people go to Barcelona to see.

New Wallet

It's been a few months since i've made a post since i've been busy with other stuff and not buying too much stuff but i'm back now and hopefully keep to the blog this time.

Today i was out just having a shop around with the girlfriend when i stopped and seen a Calabrese zip wallet for only £9.99, i've been after a new wallet for a while but never really found once that i wanted until i seen this, which will be ideal for being out and about and at the football and overall i'm impressed with it and can't grumble for the price i paid. It's just one of many purchases i hope to make in the next few weeks. All which will be getting put up on the blog.
